Robert Salmon is a business development and transformation specialist with more than 40 years in the energy industry (renewable and conventional). Working in 24 countries, across 5 continents. Robert’s skills have previously brought in over US$1Bn in new business for the companies he’s served. His recent experiences includes building local capacity (national content) in East Africa (Mozambique, Uganda, Kenya & Tanzania) and sourcing global investors for Energy Resource developments in Africa, Middle East & Europe. Robert was recognised for his leadership in the successful entrance and rapid growth of Halliburton into East Africa from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, has used his business management knowledge to successfully advise several rapidly growing DeFi (Decentralised Finance) platforms in Europe. Robert is also a passionate pro bono mentor to students and colleagues in the developing world. From 2017-2018 he served as Student Mentor Chair for the Uganda Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers; subsequently the chapter won the SPE Presidents Award for excellence in 2018. Robert graduated with a BSc. in Electronic Engineering from Hull University in the UK. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese
